This pencil is more than just a writing implement: once you’ve sharpened it for the last time, simply plant it in soil – and fresh basil will grow. The concept is as simple as it is ingenious, making the Sprout® pencil the perfect promotional gift or giveaway.
The pencil is made from FSC-certified wood. At one end is a built-in seed pod containing basil seeds. Once the pencil has been used up, simply plant it in moist soil with the seed capsule facing downwards – the first seedlings will appear within 10 to 15 days. Basil can be grown on a windowsill all year round or planted out in the garden after the last frost.
